Welcome Learner………… Task 5

Task 5 – If you have completed the first 4 tasks and your teacher has checked printed out work then your shop has opened on time and you have had some excellent feedback and the business has been very busy – so busy that you have not had time to complete the business financial model.  This needs completing as it has only been half done due to being very busy at the shop.  Use the links below to see an example of the spreadsheet and use the information from the Menu button link to complete the missing prices and Help Task 5 button to complete the financial spreadsheet with appropriate formulas and totals for the food categories.  You must also make an appropriate graph to show the predicted annual expenditure for the year.  Once you have completed the spreadsheet use the AFL link to complete the worksheet to check and identify the learning that has taken place.

There are 3 sections to the spreadsheet and they are indicated by the tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet and are named INCOME, EXPENDITURE and FINANCIAL FORECAST. 

• Income is the amount of money that the shop has made for that week, you will have to check from the menu to fill in the missing prices then work out the total amounts and the average amounts.

• Expenditure is the amount of money that will be paid out from the income like wages and bills and costs of running the shop.

• Financial forecast is a predicted annual forecast of how much money will be made in the whole year, this is calculated by deducting the expenditure total from the income total and then multiplied by 52 – which is how many weeks there are in a year.
